Maiden Voyage

Shepardsville, Ky., just south of Louisville and a short 25 minutes from Trish, Rick and the kids is the first stop. Great fun!!! Between s'mores and some more s'mores, swimming, playgrounding and just all around fun, our maiden voyage has been great. The motorhome learning curve has been pretty steep, and the only real surprise has been how easy it is to drive and operate. The 'coach' engineers have thought this out pretty thoroughly. Here's a picture of the Louisville crew.

Then in the water for some 'cool' fun with Trish winning the duck blowing/swimming contest.

Then there is Miss Julie , almost five with sixteen around the corner. Happy to be the big girl in the house, but loving her two little brothers.

We're heading out on Wednesday for Alabama, enroute to Florida for a date with Fort Wilderness. All of the Bill Wolford's will be there for a great week at Disney World.

Life is good, very very good!!!

Loadin' Up

Picked up the Camelot on Monday, May 21 - headed to Barb's dad's to load it up. Our house in North Canton sold before the motorhome arrived, so we had layover time in Waverly. After two hot and tiring days, we were ready to get the show on the road. Off we go to Kentucky, where "tent camping" began back in 1975.

Bill in Beijing

Ni Hao from Beijing! I am currently in China with my son-in-law John and granddaughter Sophie. We are here en route to pick up grandchild #6 (Beth and John's third adoption from China in the past 4 years!). We will fly to Inner Mongolia on Monday and meet Jonathan on Tuesday. Today, we spent an exhausting 12 hours of sightseeing and shopping in Beijing including Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, and pearl and silk factories. We are having a ball, but I wish Barb and the rest of the family were here. What an awesome trip and it has only just begun! Returning to the States on May 17 to be reunited with Barb, Beth and Mia.
