A Week at Cape May, NJ

After a long but quick drive from Florida to Virginia to pick up our new license tags for 'the bus' and visit with the Lossings for a short time, we finally settled down for a relaxing week in Cape May, New Jersey. "House looking" is so much fun in this town - wonderful, warm, inviting porches are incredible. The shops were a lot of fun too.

Patsy came down for a couple of days to experience the RV life. Had a great time shopping, walking, eating and just catching up. She has nicknamed the "bus" and calls it the "land yacht."

On Saturday we drove (car only) north to Chatham (just outside Newark) to attend the wedding of our nephew, Lt. Sam Miller and Katie Vandervort. It was a beautiful wedding and Katie is a very welcome addition to the Miller/Wolford family. Sam recently passed his bar exam and elected to join the Air Force legal team. They will be making their home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As you can see Elaine and Dan's family continues to grow. It was wonderful seeing all of the Millers once again. (Also were able to spend some time with brother Tom and his wife Janet). Looking forward to seeing more of the Wolfords soon.

Our last day in Cape May was perfect weather - it was a fast week, but Bill couldn't leave the shore without a dinner of crabs so the chef cooked some "blues." He decided that the claws are great, but the rest is a bit too much work.

Hey. That platter of crabs sure looks good. Now you know why crabmeat is so expensive...aren't you glad you don't have to pick crabs for a living? Where is the next stop? Hope you had a happy 4th. Love, Bill and Dillon.
